How a Former Car Salesman from New York Is Becoming An Internet Icon

"Buy", "Sell", "Get it while it's HOT!"

BOOM!

Then...

POP!

The so-called internet bubble exploded, or shall we say...imploded?

Speculation was gone, and the internet gold rush was over or so everyone thought!

After the, "See, I told you so-s" were over what was left?

The big boys and girls of the internet world who had enough money to stay alive and a bunch of scattered little ones with intravenous lines from every direction recovering.

Secretly, while all of this was going on a humble car salesman from New York had become exposed to the internet and learning how to make money on it the old fashioned way.

Mike Filsaime started as a car salesman back in 1990 and in three years he became the sales manager. That success fact didn't surprise me though because I know that Mike has a very high work ethic.

Success seemed inevitable.

However, in 1998 Mike Filsaime suffered a devastating financial blow. A crooked partner in a Real Estate Investment Firm he was a partner in embezzled and stole over $400,000 from Mike and his other partners. He suffered foreclosures of homes and repossession of vehicles just to name a few things.

Countless other things happened during that time to him and those he loved, enough to cripple a person's mind and motivation for life.

But Mike Filsaime wasn't your ordinary person. He was a success minded person.

He has, what I believe to be finely tuned and programmed subconscious mind that breeds and breathes success.

"Your perception will become your reality" as I like to tell my clients.

Mike says, "You see, that was a revelation to me. I realized that when you have your health, you have a future. When you have knowledge you can start again."

How POWERFUL is that statement?!

As time went by, Mike like many others in life, began to look for another way out.

Something different, something exciting and something that would make him MONEY!

The internet became that way out.

So Mike began to learn about internet marketing and he has become an internet marketing expert.

It didn't come easy though because, recently Mike Filsaime confessed to his newsletter subscribers, I have so many issues I struggle with just as many of you do. Maybe not financial at this time, but struggles none the less. I suffer from a mild case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. And even minor turrets syndrome. You may not notice if you just met me. Hang around me for a few weeks and you will start to notice my little ticks. They drive my wife crazy! :)

Okay, so what does Mike have that you dont?

Absolutely, NOTHING!

Mike never claims to be anything special although we all know he IS!

All he took was his simple knowledge sales, studied internet marketing and put in the work required for it to pay off over and over.

Theres really no glamour in all of it. He worked hard in the moment so that it all looks easy in the long run.

Its weird, but most people dont understand that one concept. They think that they can just do nothing and get rich.

However, Mike has made it possible for people to profit from his hard work AND work less through his innovative products and services.

Skate To Where The Puck Is Going To Be -- But Arrive With An Attitude

Wayne Gretsky, the famous hockey player coined the original phrase; Skate to where the pucks going to be. I suppose he was trying to say that you have to anticipate the action. You must know your competition, trust your teammates and be aggressively proactive in your approach. Arrive with an attitude simply means doing all those things well and doing them with the confidence that you are the best at what you do. Success breeds success and attitude is one of the primary ingredients necessary to be a leader in the distribution business.

You and you alone are responsible for your attitude and the attitude your company reflects. You must will yourself to seek improvement in everything you do or time will catch up to you and you simply wont be able to compete. It was Mark Twain who said:

DONT GO AROUND SAYING THE WORLD OWES YOU A LIVING; THE WORLD OWES YOU NOTHING; IT WAS HERE FIRST.

Be a risk taker, be a maverick; avoid making a career out of procrastination and cautiousness. Those who succeed believe in themselves. They arent satisfied with the status quo and they are willing to take calculated risk.

Successful leaders encourage their employees to think outside the box. They empower them to act on their own initiative. Believe in yourself; believe in your employees and their right to self-determination. Suspend disbelief and act as if your companys success is imminent.

Recognize the power of your people, especially those employees closest to the action. Encourage them to be proactive and Skate to where the pucks going to be. Create a cultural environment that allows them to Arrive with an attitude. An attitude of confidence, competence and the ability to demonstrate the transfer of authority that the culture you have created has provided them.

Its an attitude of winning.
